100 Cameras – 100 People With Disabilities – 1 Amazing Project

Shooting Beauty is an eight-time audience award-winning documentary, about an aspiring fashion photographer, Courtney Bent, whose career takes an unexpected turn when she discovers a hidden world of beauty at a center for people with significant disabilities.That film has inspired a new project called The 100 Cameras Project. Their goal is to get 100 cameras into the hands of people with disabilities so that we can see the world through their eyes.

Courtney wants to teach photography to as many individuals with disabilities as possible, and create a series of photo exhibits that not only allows these unique perspectives to be seen but help start a conversation around disability and ability.
