15th Annual Safe Passage 5K and Fiesta Sunday, May 5th

This year the party is even bigger, because it also falls on Cinco de Mayo!

Safe Passage was started by a very passionate Mainer, Hanley Denning. She has since passed from a tragic car accident - but her legacy lives on through Safe Passage and all they do.

I encourage you to read about how Safe Passage was started. It's hard to resist wanting to help carry on what Hanley started back in 1999.

One of the traditions of Safe Passage is the 5K and Fiesta. It's a kids fun run, an afternoon 5K and then a fiesta with live music and activities for the whole family! You are encouraged to wear bright colors to celebrate!

Safe Passage helps kids in Guatemala go to school. Most of these kids are disadvantaged and live in a dump. Seriously...that's not a adjective, that is their home.
