5 Signs You Are a Fitbit Addict
Technology can be addicting, but I never thought that what is essentially a watch that counts your steps and shares them with friends would be this addicting for people. Here are 5 signs your addicted to Fitbit.
In case you've never heard of a Fitbit, it's a tiny watch-like device you wear on your wrist that can count your steps, measure your heartbeat, monitor your sleeping pattern, and yes, even tell you what time it is.
It then uploads your data through your phone so you can monitor your workout habits and even compete with friends to see who can walk more in a week.
I've seen all these Fitbit addiction signs first hand, because ever since my girlfriend laid down the $150 to buy this super watch, she has been obsessed. Do you do any of these?
1. At the end of the day, you do laps around the house to get in a few more steps so you can jump ahead of your friend's steps by morning.
2. You're about to go on a run, but your Fitbit need charging. You now postpone running and reschedule your entire day around the charge time.
3. You need to drive to the store for a few items, but think that if you walk instead you'll get in 5000 steps.
4. You grab your phone and tap it twice before you realize it doesn't wake up the same way your Fitbit does.
5. You tell your friends you're going to take the stairs instead.
