Shaina Brown, a waitress at a Waffle House in North Carolina got a 1,000 dollar tip on Mother's Day! That's the good news...the bad news? The Waffle House wouldn't let her keep it!

The guy put the tip on his credit card, but the restaurant has a policy that customers can't put big tips on credit cards. The restaurant would have to pay it out in cash and may lose out if the customer disputes the charge.

I can understand that. This is a good news, bad news, good news story though. The customer (who wants to remain anonymous) heard about the waitress not getting her tip and wrote her a check! Okay, now THAT is the nicest thing ever. Shaina is a single mom of three kids, taking classes on line and working two jobs just trying to make ends meet. She calls this man her 'hero'.

What is the nicest thing a stranger has done for you? I have never gotten a huge tip, but it's the little things I appreciate. I really like it when people give you the thank you wave when you let them walk or drive in front of you. That makes me happy. It doesn't take much...
