It's like something right out of a science fiction movie. A planet that humans could possibly live in that is very similar to Earth. The problem is it's not exactly next door.

A planet has been discovered orbiting in the habitable zone of a star that scientists have named Kepler-452b. The habitable zone is the area around a star that allows planets with the correct atmospheric pressure to allow liquid water at the surface. Water is needed to sustain life, so theoretically this planet could support it. Maybe even humans.

There have now been 1030 planets that are in the habitable zone of a G-2 type star like our sun, but this is the most like Earth that we have found.

Humans won't be there anytime soon though. It's 1400 light years away. And you thought driving up to The County was a long trip.

We'll never see a human there in our lifetimes, or for thousands of years to come as this planet is
