On February 23, 1967, across the Great Pond at Abbey Road Studios, The Beatles were recording "Lovely Rita" for Sgt. Pepper... Meanwhile, at The Augusta General Hospital, Brian James let out his first cry to world. 20 years later in the summer of '87, Brian played "Lovely Rita" on the radio station he grew up with, WBLM. Taking over the Night Flight for the Captain, who moved to host The WBLM Morning Show, a teenage dream was realized. Brian "The Guru" James is a dyed-in-wool Mainah. In the 80's at Cony High School, He had a different colored Blimp t-shirt for each day of the week. A WBLM Loyal listener who ended up making the team. Pretty frickin' sweet bub! The Guru has been rockin' Blimpville for over 25 years and has hosted The Afternoon Express for over a decade. When he not rockin' live with BLM, he's rockin' at home in Westbrook with his wife Sherry, and sons, Sam and Carter. Rip it hahd weekday afternoons at work and on the way home!! Like him on Facebook! And remember, if the conniption fits, wear it!
