Join me as the host of the Morning Buzz with Randy McCoy, weekday mornings from 5am to 9am. I also can be heard on Sundays from 10-noon. Make sure you come by to meet me at many of our live local broadcasts.
I would like to take this moment to clarify this story just a bit. Originally, it was posted on 8/16/2017. Since then, I've been contacted by the Maine Human Rights Commission and would like to clear up and add a few things.
It's Fair Season!! Nothing beats fair food. There's always sure to be something new there. Whether it's french fries you seek or a dough boy or fried pickles, it comes with more than a monetary cost to you. These foods wreak havoc on your body and certainly leave you feeling 'blah'. So, what is the nutritional cost of your favorite fair foods?
OMG! Not a spider fan, myself, and I'm certain I would have needed a new pair of pants if this happened to me. I would have number 4'ed myself...if there is a number 4. A Maine woman found a little visitor in grapes yesterday.
Ok...this took me a moment, but I can in fact confirm that the VAG Fair is coming this weekend to the Thomas Point Beach in Brunswick on Saturday and Sunday (June 10 & 11). No judging on Saturday. Judging starts at noon on Sunday. Gates open at 9am both days. Camping is available.
Jedi is a service dog that was a wish granted to Connor Sawtelle by Make A Wish of Maine. Connor suffers with the debilitating effects of chiari malformation. Jedi, who traveled all the way from Colorado, will help Connor with his day to day activities. Today, Jedi has finally reached his forever home in the arms of Connor.
Not going to lie...my family drove by one of these awesome masterpieces, created by Jason Cote, and thought they were elaborate crop-circles of some sort. The first one we saw was at the Elks Club in Augusta. A week later, we noticed one further up the road from our original discovery. That's when I knew it wasn't aliens!
I'm just so consumed in this burnt piece of toast and the idiocy that this Maine man thinks he is going to get $25,000 for a piece of bread, that he thinks has a picture of Jesus on it. To my surprise, I discovered it was up for bid yesterday on Ebay. Bidding for this item has ended. Guess what it sold for?
What a helpless feeling it must have been to come across such an amazing animal...stuck. That's exactly how brothers, Rick & Josh James, felt when they were snowmobiling in Rangeley, Maine with other family members. Had they not come across this helpless moose, it surely would have died there.
We spotted the Mikel Knight Tour Bus in our parking lot this morning and recalled seeing a warning by the Oakland Police Department on their Facebook page. Upon further investigation and a by simply googling 'Mikel Knight' several negative reviews pop up about this group and their promotion tactics.
