Be There And Be Square: Square Hop Kicks Off First Summer Weekend

Summer Kickoff Weekend is here, which means fun downtown events all weekend, with Walk to Working Waterfront and Shop for a Cause on Saturday and Old Port Festival this Sunday with plenty of drink specials, delicious food, and LIVE MUSIC.

Ready to kick it off? Gear up tonight for the fun chaos this weekend with Square Hop, a collection of four musical park performances in Portland!

The weather forecast is nothing short of perfect to enjoy free outdoor shows in 4 different parks. From 6-8pm., the Maine Marimba Ensemble will be in Post Office Park; Casco Bay Movers in Monument Square; Maine Academy of Modern Music in Congress Square Park; and PortFringe in Longfellow Square. All bands will be performing from 6-8pm so if you wanna settle in for a full-length concert you can pop a squat at one of the parks, or dabble in each with a DIY park crawl!
