Right to die advocate Brittany Maynard has died. And what she said about her husband made me a crying fool.

I believe in love beyond the physical world and I believe it can beat anything, including cancer. Brittany Maynard was diagnosed just after her wedding with a fatal brain tumor. This tumor would spread quickly and cause her terrible seizures, excruciating headaches not to mention a horrifying death. She decided to abbreviate the death process by taking a lethal mixture and die peacefully on her own terms. Some people felt she was playing God, others believe she is the pillar of brave. Putting her story out for all to see and share.

Brittany's husband and family supported her decision right down to her last breath. She died peacefully in the arms of her family in her own bedroom. What she said about her husband in her latest video brought me straight to my knees."I hope he moves on and becomes a father, there's no part of me that wants him to live out the rest of his life just missing his wife." True love...

And her mom? In her second video, Maynard, who is an only child, said she hoped her mother does not "break down" or "suffer from any kind of depression."  (People Magazine)

This tore me up. Two selfless thoughts from a beautiful soul, who cared not for herself but for those left to pick up the pieces after she's gone. Brittany completed everything on her bucket list. All the travel and time with family and friends. Just recently she flew over The Grand Canyon in a helicopter. Here is her last video.

My thoughts? Well, I feel that if we are compassionate enough to allow our animals to not suffer a painful death, we should be able to extend that to human beings as well. What do you think?
