Cartoons From The ’50s May Shock You! [VIDEO]

So, I stumbled across The Boomerang Network last night and I was reminded how different things are now. This is a mini montage of a few Tex Avery cartoons I remember watching on Tom & Jerry reruns after school. 

When I watched these cartoons as a kid I just thought it was cool seeing "the future".."The House Of Tomorrow.."The Car Of Tomorrow." After seeing these again recently, I couldn't help but notice quite a few scenes that just wouldn't pass these days.

Like how the "Modern bathroom is equipped with individual medicine cabinets." Even one for "Mother-in-law."

Or a scene where a gun shoots a houseguest!

Who could forget the prediction of the car with "bumpers designed with the pedestrian in mind...just let 'em try to get away"

The same model also comes with the glass bottom "so that when you hit a pedestrian, you can look down and see if he was a friend of yours"

Ah the memories. All I need now is a tall glass of cold milk, a stack of oreos, and homework...but I'll do that later.
