Saturday it was the Republicans turn to caucus, and Sunday was for the Democrats. I happen to be a Democrat and did my caucus duty! I'm so glad I live in Falmouth and not Portland for this one!

First off about 530 people showed up to caucus in Falmouth. Pretty straight forward. Some speeches, some state reps chat and then LOCK THE DOORS - IT'S TIME TO VOTE!

The total process in Falmouth took about 2 hours and I stuck around for the results. Let's just say that Falmouth was feeling the 'Bern.'

Now, I've lived in Portland too. And all I remember about Portland were the lines. The insanely long lines. Well, nothing has changed one bit. Some estimates say the line was a half a mile long!

The high voter turnout bodes well for Bernie Sanders. But people were frustrated, some waiting in line 3 to 5 hours! Rep Chellie Pingree (who also stopped by Falmouth) brought pizza for some waiting in line!

This was at Deering High School. Because of the huge turnout and long waits, Sen. Justin Alfond, of Portland, said he will introduce a bill Monday to go back to the primary process.

I'm sure many people are all for it!
