I love old photographs and recently I came across a photo from the 1950's showing what the street I grew up on looked like twenty years before I lived there.

This photo is taken and the corner of Nichol Street and Western Avenue near the railroad crossing for the former Grand Trunk Railroad. I would often ride my bike down to the crossing and watch as train crews would switch car at the old Paris Manufacturing factory. The area looks a lot different today as the factory is gone as are many of the trees that show up in the old photo. The home in the photo still stands though.
