Club Texas in Auburn to Reopen as Sapphire Night Club

Club Texas, the popular nightclub in Auburn that closed its doors a year ago is opening again with new owners and a new name. Oh and beer pong tournaments will be back too!

Jeremy Fitts and Amanda Cloutier of Lewiston have bought the former Club Texas on Center Street in Auburn and plan to reopen it in October under the name Sapphire Nightclub and Event Center.

Regulars of Club Texas were disappointed to learn that it would close its doors in August of 2014. The new owners plan to bring back a lot of what made Club Texas a popular night spot - a variety of music with DJs and local musicians, karaoke, beer pong tournaments and the new Sapphire Taphouse serving drafts. Sapphire will also feature a new 24 foot VIP area with leather futons and tables with a wrap around curtain for privacy and includes bottle service and private bartender.

They're shooting for an opening date of October 17th and are looking to hire everyone from bartenders, bouncers and servers, to DJ's and musicians.
