Remember when Governor Paul LePage blamed drug dealers like "D Money, Smoothie and Shifty" for bringing the heroin crisis to Maine? If you don't, it was one of his greatest hits that instantly went viral and catapulted the bombastic governor into national headlines and internet fame.

That was the one where he said that they ("they" meant black people) "...come up here, they sell their heroin, and they go back home. Incidentally, half the time, they impregnate a young, white girl before they leave, which is a real sad thing because then we have another issue that we've gotta deal with down the road."

Well, the first such alleged drug pusher that he mentioned, a fellow by the name of D Money (real name David Marble) just went before a jury in Portland for the 2015 deaths of two people in Manchester. According to the Bangor Daily News, they had to move the trial to Portland from the Augusta area because of LePage's initial comments.

Ugh.

Hey, I'd go by D Money too if my name was David Marble.
