The Maine Warden Service and the Skowhegan Fire Department rescued a deer that fell through thin ice on the Kennebec River Tuesday. That's pretty decent, since they could have...well...you know the options.

They used what's called a 'rescue alive' sled to get the deer out of the water. This is Skowhegan Firefighters Linwood Corson and Scott Libby, along with Captain Jason Frost and Chief Shawn Howard, helped warden Chad Robinson.
