In January and February, many Mainers noticed quite a spike in their CMP electric bills. So many in fact, that an investigation is now underway to figure out why.

According to WMTW, The Maine Public Utilities Commission has voted to launch an initial summary investigation into skyrocketing bills customers have received from CMP.

The commission has received at least 100 complaints since the beginning of the year.
