So... what is it? Is it the front yard, or the door-yard?

Nobody can seem to agree on this one.

Some people think that the terms "front yard" and "dooryard" are interchangeable, but others think that there are a few important differences.

For example, we need fo find out what a dooryard actually is. Is it the yard in front of your house, where your front door usually is, like a front yard, or is it a yard, any yard, where there is also a door? The actual definition on google seems to suggest that it can be anywhere.

Urban Dictionary, on the other hand, seems to think that it's just another name for the front yard, or the back yard. It might also identify the only part of the yard that isn't used as land for farming.

These are the important questions that keep us up at night. What do you think?
