Portland, Maine has become a favorite stop of cruise ships throughout the summer and early fall season. Thousands of tourists pour into our city, drinking our drink and eating our food, and returning to their floating city on the sea each evening.

A drone photographer managed to capture a rare view of a massive ship docked at Ocean Gateway. Ships of that size block the views of the water from the lower parts of the East End and the easternmost section of downtown. With a drone, we can see an entirely different angle that almost makes up for the missing horizon views when the port is empty.

This ship has waterslides, what appears to be a mini golf course, tons of lounge areas, and other recreation areas for all the guests on board to enjoy. It's amazing that all of that exists on a ship!
