This past weekend I took a trip with my son to the Boston Museum of Science. Just about everyone in New England has visited the museum at least once in their lifetimes. I hadn't been in at least 20 years but was thrilled to go back with my son for the first time. We had a weekend we'll never forget.

If you're around my age and grew up in the 70's and 80's, you probably remember the classic commercial for the Museum of Science with kids going to different exhibits and telling us "It's fun to find out what makes an ocean wave wave." It was created in 1977 but ran for almost 10 years during the afternoon cartoons on channel 56.

All the exhibits in this commercial are either gone or have changed in the almost 40 years since this commercial was made.

One nostalgic father  thought it would be fun to re-create the commercial at the museum in 2013. New exhibits substitute for the old ones, but the dinosaur at the end is the original. It's just been moved outside the museum now. Very cool video!

And here's a bonus for you. The New England Aquarium commercial from the 70's. "I can walk like a penguin!" Just for the record, both girls in these commercials are named Karen. Go figure.
