'The Mummy' with Tom Cruise and a tear jerker true story about a woman and her dog...

Let's start with 'The Mummy'. Movie Mom explains that Universal doesn't have super heroes they can make into gigantic billion dollar movies. But they do have monsters. Sooo, they've created some 'dark world' where they can bring back monsters and add Tom Cruise.

Movie Mom loved the special effects and the stunts, but the movie itself couldn't make up it's mind on what it wanted to be - so it's a bit of a mess. And she really didn't  care for Tom Cruise in the lead role saying he is TOO old.  Mmmmm.

Then there is a movie based on a true story, 'Megan Leavey'. Based on the true life story of a young Marine corporal whose unique discipline and bond with her military combat dog saved many lives during their deployment in Iraq.

But when they were both shot down, This is the story about the steps that Megan Leavey took to take her dog home so he could spend his last days with her. Get the Kleenex and enjoy.

Or you could stay home and watch the biggest movie of the year out on DVD, 'Beauty and the Beast'. Movie Mom loves this movie so much, she's already bought the DVD and has watched it!
