Look at these and tell me your mouth isn't watering.

How about now?

Aaaaaand now?

In case you missed it - Forage Market is a beloved bagel and baked goods store in Lewiston. Now, you guessed it, they're coming to Portland! Progress on their new location at 123 Washington street next to Maine Craft Distillery is well underway. They finished their brick oven just weeks ago (crucial for their wood-fired bread and pastries!) and their first bagel test went swimmingly:

They're slated to open sometime in the next couple weeks. The city inspection is this week and after that they will know their exact open date. Watch their facebook page and instagram for updates.

Hours will be 6:30am to 3pm Monday through Friday and 7am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. The menu will be similar to Lewiston's location with a focus on bagels and breakfast sandwiches, but the Portland store is holding off on adding soups and market sandwiches for the time being. Lewiston General Manager Whitney Pelletier shed some light on their new location:

We chose the location for a few reasons but the biggest one was the community. We love the mix of homes and small business and already our neighbors have been amazing. Another cool detail was that the building used to be a florist shop so we will pay homage to that by selling fresh flowers!

The Portland store will be lead by General Manager Laura Posiak and owner Allen Smith. Flowers will be from Broadturn Farm. Ready for more good news? They're hiring! How does 30% off for you and your partner, plus free food during your shift sound?
