If you have been putting off getting a mammogram because you are either scared of the process or the results - Meredith and I would like to offer a hand to hold. You shouldn't put it off if you are scared. I've had a lot of mammograms. I started when I was 30 - so almost 20 years of them. They aren't that bad - I promise!

Please don't put off getting one. It could save your life. Please, please, please email me if you need some company. We don't have to say who you are on the radio. It's not about that. It's about helping you.

My mom was scared. She didn't get her first mammogram until she was 75. By then she had advanced breast cancer that spread and eventually took her life this past July. I know my mom would want me to make sure you get yours. Had I known my mom was scared...I would have been there for her in a heartbeat....
