The Maine Marathon happened Sunday October 5th. It starts in Portland and ends in Portland -but it runs through Falmouth, Yarmouth and Cumberland. Well, it happened to run on the road that I have to take to get to work - which I had to do Sunday morning!

As I approached Route One, I saw runner after runner after runner. I had no way of getting onto Route One! So, I was trapped!

Then I found an opening!

But then there I was - driving the Maine Marathon! Wha? I felt like an idiot. But had no choice!

Then finally I had a surge at around Mile 20 and started passing runners!

Congratulations to all the runners including the winners! Moninda Marube, 35, of Auburn, was the first man to finish with a time of 2:29:56 and Leah Frost, 31, of Glover, Vermont, was the first woman to finish with a time of 2:51:50.

The best part is that the main beneficiary for the marathon is the Robbie Foundation. An organization near and dear to my heart.

Thanks for letting me drive with you guys for a bit. I almost felt like the people along the route were cheering me on!
