“I Park Where I Fit.” – Wha??

First let me start with the positive. Jen is an amazingly lucky parker. She could go into the Old Port during the Old Port Festival and find a prime spot, And that's what happened Saturday night in Portland. 

Jen parked, turned off the car and that's when I turned to her and said,

"What are you doing??"

She looked at me like I had three heads (which is funny,  cuz that's how I was looking at her)

She was parked with at least 2 feet of the mom van AHEAD of the meter. I told her to get it behind the meter and she asked why? I told her because that's how meters work! And that's when she came up with this gem:

"I park where I fit."

She was also at least 4 feet from the curb, and I made her park closer. She said she had no idea she had to do that! How does one survive in the world of driving without knowing there are actual rules. I'm not making it up - look at what's on the actual parking meters!
