I like to take my Nephews and Niece out on special one on one fun runs. We sometimes go out for an ice cream, dinner or a trip to Toys R Us to dream. Here's a place I had never been to.

I learned about a thing called PS4, XBOX 360 and XBOX ONE. I also learned the difference between them, sort of and that you need a lot of equipment to play some of these games properly. And they are so expensive! The last time I played a video game was in the 1980s. River Raid, Donkey Kong and Pac-Man. Most of the things the triplets want for Christmas are over $75! How do you parents do it?

I haven't seen a smile this wide since he was 9 at Disney. This store makes his tummy flip. The list of things these kids want makes MY tummy sick. So, in the middle of Gamestop I decided we needed a lesson on the real meaning of Christmas.

It's about giving, not just getting. I reminded my Nephew that he is very lucky to have such a blessed life. That some kids i've seen from our Opportunity Alliance "Clause for a Cause" fundraiser are asking for socks and bedsheets. He was shocked. I tried hard to not make him feel guilty about his life but wanted to drive home my point that the season is about love and giving to those who are less fortunate. He wanted to help me shop for them, we even decided to buy his ailing grandparents a Christmas Tree instead of looking for ourselves. We had a great night giving back. He was so happy to see his what his gesture did to make someone else happy.
