When I went to the cabinet to pull this out to make a sandwich I immediately heard "Ewwwwwww!" This from my girlfriend who hates cheese, mayonnaise, tuna, egg salad or anything else that I like. Try eating a pizza with this woman. It's interesting.

When I was in the grocery store shopping for the holiday weekend I saw the deviled ham on the shelf and realized I hadn't had it in years so I thought I'd give it a whirl and make the sandwich I ate as a kid.

I think it's really cool that after all these years, Underwood still fully wraps their cans in paper rather than just sticking a label on it. Traditions are nice. I still kind of miss the key that came with Spam to open the can.

Top pulled off. 10 seconds later I heard "Ewwwww! That smells gross!" That doesn't stop me.

The only way to do this for me is straight up deviled ham on white bread. No dressing, no lettuce..nothing.

Mmmmmmm. Salty. It's still good though. Would I eat it often? Probably not, but it was nice to feel like a kid again.

In case you're wondering here's the nutrition label:

480mg of sodium per serving. Is that a lot? Whatever.

Maybe I should expand my deviled ham horizons by trying something other that white bread. Underwood has a whole list of recipes for deviled ham.

Are you a deviled ham lover or hater? I've got half a can left. Anyone want to join me for dinner?
