'Harry Potter' is a very beloved movie series...can J.K. Rowling pull it off with 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'?

In a word...yup.

J.K. Rowling actually wrote the screenplay to this one and that's a first. It's also a first for a movie set in the past, and in the United States! Movie Mom says it's a home run and a great kick off to a 5 movie series! Movie Mom also says a perfect rating at PG-13.

Then there is 'The Edge of Seventeen'...another teenage angst movie. But before you start groaning, this one is intelligent and very well done. This movie is rated R and has some sexual content, drinking, violence and language...all involving teens.

Also opening this weekend is the inspirational true story of World Champion Boxer Vinny Pazienza who, after a near fatal car crash, which left him not knowing if he'd ever walk again, made one of sports most incredible comeback. It's called 'Bleed for This'. This one is a definite R and it's not even the boxing - it's the medical scenes! But if you liked 'The Fighter' and 'Rocky', you'll totally be into this movie.

Out on DVD is the perfect gift, 'Finding Dory'. A fantastic follow up to 'Finding Nemo'.
