Is This the New Stormtrooper Helmet from Star Wars Episode VII? [PHOTOS]

J.J. Abrams is doing a great job of keeping Star Wars Episode VII details to a minimum, so I question the authenticity of this, but if it is true it's awesome!

I caught this photo in my Twitter feed from @Wardster_who claims it is an official prop from Star Wars Episode VII and is a revamped Stormtrooper helmet.

It certainly looks like it could be the real deal, but unless it comes from J.J. himself we must suspend belief.

We don't have many plot details about Episode VII, but we know it take place 30 years after Return of the Jedi so it's a safe bet that the Empire exists in some capacity somewhere in the galaxy far, far away.

This new helmet certainly looks like to could evolved from the original helmet 30 years ago. Here's an original helmet used in the first movie for comparison that was displayed at auction. .

Can you tell I really want to believe this? We'll know for sure when the movie hits theaters next year.
