January is almost over, and so is the release of terrible movies. Movie Mom says only 2 this week 'didn't screen for critics'. She dug out of the snow to get us these reviews.

First, good news. Movie Mom survived the blizzard that buried Washington DC. And reminded us to catch the panda at the zoo who LOVED the snow!

Let's cover the movies that weren't covered by critics. The first is the parody, '50 Shades of Black' with Marlon Wayans. These type of movies never screen for critics. It's raunchy and there IS full frontal nudity. Well, hello!

Then the other movie not screened is 'Jane Got a Gun' with Natalie Portman. As Movie Mom pointed out, the studio has shelved this for 3 years. If they don't have faith in the movie...should you?

Then on to the good news. 'Kung Fu Panda 3'!

Movie Mom says that this series is great and in fact, Kung Fu Panda 2 is the highest grossing movie directed by a woman. That woman is back for 3 and it's just beautiful. It's fun, with a great story and Jack Black is back as Po! Great for the family.

Then there is 'The Finest Hours' based on the true story of a Coast Guard rescue mission in the 50's by a crew of young Guardsmen half who had never been on a rescue mission before. She says the acting, and special effects are just amazing!
