I’ve Had a Lot of Fried Fair Food But Had Never Heard of This One Before [PHOTOS]

It's fair season in New England, and that means fryers are ready to fry just about anything that's fit for human consumption. I've tried a lot of fried fair food, but this one is probably the most unique. 

While I was playing in a pinball tournament, my girlfriend Michele went with her daughter Lily to The Big E, a huge two week fair in Springfield Massachusetts. Lily wanted to see Jacob Whitsides who was performing there, so she Michele decided she would sample the fried food. You only live once right?

She tried as much as she could handle...

Nothing out of the ordinary so far, but then she saw this sign...

I know what you're thinking. Fried martini? What kind of sorcery is this?

Behold!

Now, if you're like I was, your next question is how do they do it?

First they freeze the liquid of the martini so they have something to encase in the delicious batter. Then they double fry it. It's served in a martini glass (plastic if you want to get really technical) and when you take a bite your mouth is filled with the the now melted martini inside the batter. Brilliant!

Michele says it's amazing. Obviously this is for adults only.
