Kendrick Lamar blends new and old-school style to in his new song "i," also being referred to as the "I Love Myself" song. The track fuses pop, hip-hop and funk for a catchy two and a half minute jaunt that samples the 1970's soul song "That Lady" by The Isley Brothers. It's the first single from his upcoming still untitled new album. The official video was released today. Check it out!

Kendrick recently said in a radio interview that the song is about self-expression that stemmed from a lack of self-love in the streets where he grew up. He said it's a subject that's rarely talked about and he wants to help bring it to light. It's a very cool song with a great message. Check out the song and the official video here.
