Learn How To Dog Sled in Westbrook This Weekend

If you've ever wanted to feel the wind in your face, streaking across the snow pulled by your team of sled dogs, there's a class happening this weekend in Westbrook that can get you started.

The New England Sled Dog Club is holding race classes at the Westbrook Winter Festival at Sunset Ridge Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday. 8, 6, and 4-dog sled, 3-dog junior and 1 and 2-dog skijor classes with run a 6.6 mile trail or a 3.3 mile trail. The fresh snow this week, with more expected on Saturday, should make conditions perfect for racing.
