Many things have changed in the downtown Portland landscape since it was founded in the 1700s. Many of the changes have occurred within recent decades, including the construction of a very important building in the center of town. Well, we think it's very important.

Ground was broken for One City Center in 1983. Check out all the old cars filling the space where we now broadcast from our cozy studio on the third floor. Each summer, we fill that same parking lot (now a brick courtyard reserved for pedestrians only) with thousands of music fans for the Old Port Festival. The building on the corner with the Benoit's sign is now home to Foley's and other businesses. Some of the trees and benches along the left sidewalk are missing. The Time and Temperature still stands tall, letting us know if it's sweater weather yet.

Here's the view from our patio at One City Center during Old Port Fest this year.

Do you remember Portland before One City Center?
