Can I put meat in my bucket?

Yes, meat is compostable.

Is it gonna stink?

Possibly! But you can contain the smell by keeping the lid snapped on tight.

Will my bucket attract raccoons?

Critters are sometimes an issue. Store the bucket where they can't find it, make sure the lid is tightly secured, and if necessary, place a heavy object like a cinder block on top.

Will maggots invade my home?

Maggots can be an issue during warmer months. They are attracted to raw meats, so freeze your meat scraps until pickup day to prevent maggots from munching.

When is it done?

Your compostable items turn into a rich, dark soil. It's great for your garden. This process can take 6 to 12 months.
