Maine Cancer Foundation’s Twilight 5K Thursday, June 11th.

It's back! The 5k before Maine Cancer Foundation's Tri For a Cure in July! It's one of the most beautiful run/walks in Maine. It's the Twilight 5K at the Southern Maine Community College Campus in South Portland.

I have been involved with the Twilight 5k since it's inception back in 2010. In fact, I had never run a 5k before and this was my very first one. I was hooked. Not on the running part so much (still don't really like it) but the camaraderie, the bonding and the goal of fighting cancer! A disease that took my mom, and many other loved ones. All money raised helps fund research to find a cure for many cancers including breast cancer.

I will be there again this year. I am walking the 5k with a friend. You can run or walk - it doesn't matter! There's a huge party when it's over with pizza and beer. Guilt free pizza and beer since you just exercised!
