Did you know you could be fined for your Christmas lights?  This and other silly Maine laws actually exist.  You have to read this.

So you've finally got your house all lit up with the Christmas decorations. It's the best looking house in the neighborhood. It looks so good you already know you're going to procrastinate when it comes to taking the decorations down.  Don't dilly-dally or you could be fined!

"After January 14th you can be charged a fine for having your Christmas decorations still up."

That's just one of the "waste of time" laws in our great state.  Click here for the rest of the amusing list of Maine laws.  Like these:

  1. It is illegal to sell a car on Sunday unless it comes equipped with plumbing.
  2. You may not step out of a plane in flight.
  3. It's illegal to catch lobsters with your bare hands.
