There's an Instagram page called "Maine Sucks" that shares professional photos taken around the state, that show why they think Maine sucks, even though that's not how they really feel.

Take this beautiful photo, shot in the snow, of a home decorated with lobster buoys and traps. The caption reads "It's disgusting how many Mainers litter our ocean with these wall decorations."

@MaineSucks is taking a backwards approach to highlighting all the good things about Maine through satire. It's kind of like The Onion for Maine photography. You think they're serious for a second, and then you get it.

"Supporting Maine’s businesses and photographers through satirical commentary
The way life shouldn't be 🌲 ⚓️," is how they describe themselves on Instagram. Photographers can have their photo featured by tagging @mainesucks on Instagram.

They even have Maine Sucks apparel you can purchase on their website. Don't go to mainesucks.com though. Someone is squatting on that one and is probably willing to sell it for a stupid amount of money. Instead go to mainesucks207.com if you want a shirt that you can walk around in that says "Maine Sucks." Just be ready to do some explaining when people constantly come up to you asking why.
