Now this is super creepy. According to the legend, Colonel Buck condemned a so-called "witch" to burn at the stake. Apparently only her leg survived. A curse was placed on the Colonel's tomb to bear the mark of the witch's foot! You can see what looks like the outline of a leg on the front of the tombstone. Buck's family tried twice replacing the tombstone, but the leg print kept coming back! Oh that is one upset witch!

You keep driving, if you can, passing Stephen King's house in Bangor and several other spooky weird places. The last stop on the road trip is one of the creepy urban legends we talked about before: The Ghost of the Haynesville Woods.

Truck driver turned country singer, Dick Curless, has a song called, 'A Tombstone Every Mile' (1965).

It's a stretch of road up north in Maine / That's never, ever, ever seen a smile / If they buried all the truckers lost in them Woods / There'd be a tombstone every mile.

It's about one of America's most haunted roads - U.S. Route 2A here in Maine!  This stretch of road is considered one of the most treacherous roads in New England, and was once the main drive to get for trucks hauling potatoes from The County. This road has so many haunted things about it you'll be luck to survive...and if you do...head to:
