Market Basket employees outside of the Biddeford supermarket and elsewhere in New Hampshire and Massachusetts continue to protest the removal of former CEO Arthur T. DeMoulas as company officials threaten to hire new workers, according to WMTW.

The Portland television news station reported Thursday that Market Basket officials have placed a front-page ad in the Boston Globe on Thursday announcing the company is hiring. Company officials said workers have until Monday to return without fear of penalty, or the company will begin hiring replacement workers. Two job fairs have been scheduled for next week in Massachusetts.

Last week Demoulas offered to purchase the supermarket chain, but the company's board of directors rejected his offer.
