For the past five years, Robin Kennedy and her two employees have been hand-making all of their own confections out of a Biddeford basement, but as business boomed and mouths demanded more, Robin's Confections began to dream bigger.

Meanwhile, a vacant two-story building sat on its lonely 1.19 acres across from Biddeford Center, an otherwise high-traffic area. After scoping out a dozen other properties, none of which fulfilled the necessary criteria in Robin's brick and mortar dreams, Kennedy landed upon 586 Alfred St. and immediately saw potential, according to MaineBiz.

Lucky for us, opening day is on the horizon! Robin expects to open her storefront doors in late June, with a new employee or two working on the retail side of business and an expanding menu of confections. Currently, Robin offers a mouth-watering selection of chocolate-covered delicacies including chocolate-covered Oreos, chocolate-dipped pretzel rods, peanut butter balls, and of course their flagship treat, the Maine Needham (which I tried this morning and can attest to its astounding deliciousness.)
