A live action Disney remake of a classic animated movie? Movie Mom says it's amazing.

Movie Mom really loved a couple of things about the new live action 'Beauty and the Beast'. That they dove into Belle's connection to the 'beast' through reading. And Movie Mom also addressed the whole 'gay' character thing. LeFou, the sidekick of the story's villain Gaston, is “confused about his sexuality”, according to director Bill Condon. He dances with another man...and obviously has a crush on Gaston. He also dances with a woman too. So...whoopie.

That's it.

Movie Mom tackles this in her blog and has answers for any question your kid may have.

There are some wolves and guns and it could be scary for the little, little ones. Movie Mom says 7 and up.

On DVD this week, one of Movie Mom's favorite movies of the year 'Fences' based on the Pultizer winning play with Denzel Washington and Oscar winner Viola Davis.

Also, Passangers...a 'weird' movie but a good rental and 'Collateral Beauty' with Helen Mirren and Will Smith. Movie Mom says she's the only one that liked the movie about a man retreating from life after a tragedy, He questions the universe by writing to Love, Time and Death. Receiving unexpected answers, he begins to see how these things interlock and how even loss can reveal moments of meaning and beauty. She also said, a good rental.
