Movie Mom was ecstatic about the two huge movies (both with robots) opening this weekend. First up is 'Interstellar' with Matthew McConaughey!

It's almost 3 hours long! But doesn't feel like it and she LOVED it! It didn't all work, but most of it worked, and worked well. She didn't care for a scene with a big time actor, but other than that gave it a giant thumbs up. She definitely recommended watching it on the biggest screen possible. Middle school kids and up!

Then for the littler kids, it's 'Big Hero 6' from Disney. Unlike the robot in 'Interstellar' this robot is adorable and cuddly and so sweet! It's Disney - it better be sweet! She LOVED this one too! But did warn that it was a tad intense and maybe 7 or 8 and up. Especially because it's in 3D, the little ones may be too freaked out.

There were a couple of Disney movies out for rent: 'Planes: Fire and Rescue' and 'Maleficent' with Angelina Jolie.

Movie Mom is in her glory this time of year as the Oscar buzz movies are released. Plus at her website, she got to interview Jim Davis, the creator of 'Garfield'! Her glory? When she asked him, 'If Garfield doesn't have a job, why does he care if it's Monday?'
