Movie Mom reviewed SIX new movies out for the holiday week! Her first review was 'Into the Woods'.

The number one thing to know about this movie is that it is a twisted, mostly sung movie that is NOT FOR LITTLE KIDS! She recommended sulky teenagers.

Then there was her pick of the week, 'Selma' the story of Marin Luther Kings civil rights marches of Selma, Alabama, that changed the United States for ever. She absolutely loved this movie saying it was the best one not just this year, but for years!

The the mixed reviewed 'Unbroken' one of four true stories out this week! After a near-fatal plane crash in WWII, Olympian Louis Zamperini spends a harrowing 47 days in a raft with two fellow crewmen before he's caught by the Japanese navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp. The bad reviews slam that it's a tad 'old fashioned' but Movie Mom enjoyed that and thought it was very inspiring.

Then another true story called 'Big Eyes' directed by Tim Burton. Even Tim had to take a back seat and let the craziness of this story tell itself. It's about painter Margaret Keane, her phenomenal success in the 1950's, and the subsequent legal battles with her husband, who claimed credit for her works in the 1960's.

The last true story and good movie out is 'American Sniper' with Bradley Cooper. It tells the st ory of Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle's pinpoint accuracy that saves countless lives on the battlefield and turns him into a legend. Back home to his wife and kids after four tours of duty, however, Chris finds that it is the war he can't leave behind.

The only dud in the bunch is a remake with Mark Wahlberg called, 'The Gambler'. Lit professor and gambler Jim Bennett's debt causes him to borrow money from his mother and a loan shark. Further complicating his situation is his relationship with one of his students. Will Bennett risk his life for a second chance? Movie Mom said, 'Who cares?'
