Movie Mom says that in between blockbuster weeks ('Spectre/Hunger Games') is a week of pretty good movies with two true stories.

She loved the incredible true story of 'The 33'. It's about the 33 Chilean miners trapped for over 2 months 20 stories under the earth! Spoiler alert - they all survive!

It stars Antonio Banderas, and sometimes it's hard to tell it's him, because it was filmed in a mine!

Then there is the movie 'Spotlight'. The true story of how the Boston Globe uncovered the massive scandal of child molestation and cover-up within the local Catholic Archdiocese, shaking the entire Catholic Church to its core. It stars  Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton and Rachel McAdams. Movie Mom says that Michael Keaton could get an Oscar nomination.

Movie Mom says that it's one of the best movies of the year and if you can only see one movie this weekend - see 'Spotlight'!

If you like crying at sports movies, bring your hankies and head to 'My All American'. Freddie Steinmark, an underdog on the gridiron, faces the toughest challenge of his life after leading his team to a championship season. Movie Mom says it's 'Okay.'

Need a dysfunctional family movie (not if you live in one you don't!)? 'Love the Coopers' is for you! Four generations of the Cooper clan come together for their annual Christmas Eve celebration, a series of unexpected visitors and unlikely events turn the night upside down, leading them all toward a surprising rediscovery of family bonds and the spirit of the holiday.Blah, blah, blah.

Out on DVD (even though I got ripped off with a short tiny stand up show, can't wait to rent this!) it's 'Trainwreck'. The movie that made Amy Schumer an even bigger star!
