I was introduced to this particular T.V. show by a buddy of mine years ago. However I hadn’t watched a single episode until after it’s original airing date. The T.V. show that I’m talking about is one of my all time favorites, and one you’ve probably never even heard of. Matter of fact I can confidently say that the majority of anybody reading this article never knew the show existed. This show is called “Cheap Seats”. It aired on ESPN Classic from February of 2004 to around November of 2006. Hosted by twin comedians Randy and Jason Sklar. Who play ESPN video tape librarians who occupy their time watching old sports broadcasts and riffing on them. If you’ve ever seen or heard of Mystery Science Theatre… it’s similar to that in a way. Just put a world of sports twist on it. The Sklar brothers take over the show, when in the first episode a shelf of VHS tapes falls on then host Ron Parker, severely injuring him. I will go on record by saying Ron Parker is and evil man who probably deserved it. Cheap Seats is just so incredibly funny to me. It’s a strange bond that a few of my closest friends and I have. We’re often texting each other, lines like “FOLKS!”, “Watch out for Don Bebe”, “Redrum” “Floorwax Rising” and other silly quotes from the show. Don’t worry, these won’t make much sense to you unless you’ve seen it. What I’m want to do is share some of my favorite clip from Cheap Seats with you. You can watch them below.

“Ladies & Gentlemen take a look at Rebecca Sealfon” Cheap Seats often riffed on the Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee’s. I’ve nearly peed my pants a few times. Here is one of them times.

“Wow, a ball Kobe doesn’t want to shoot” Some of my favorite episodes have to be the McDonalds Slam Jams.

“Now let's shift gears and check out a sport that only matters to the people who play it, Ultimate Frisbee” I mean come on… let's be honest for second lol. OMG this one kills me.

“My name is Dave Penders and I collect spelling bee memorabilia “ A young Paul Rudd was one of many talented & funny actors who guest starred on Cheap Seats.

There is so many clips I could share with you, but I’ll keep it to just these four. I hope you enjoyed reading this. Tweet me and let me know if you have ever seen Cheap Seats before. - @yafavhomiejr
