My Son Texted Me For the First Time with Exciting News

There's something cool about getting exciting news from your son in a text for the very first time, even if he's still learning to spell. 

My almost 9-year-old son Jake is now using his mom's old phone. He doesn't have cell service, but uses it like a tablet over wi-fi. He found a program that lets him text me and a couple of his friends and he was very excited to send his very first text to me a few days ago.

I was pretty excited to get it too. The spelling might not be perfect, but I knew exactly what he was saying.

We connected on Skype later that night so he could show me the missing tooth. I love technology.
