Nellie and Dan from Portland are divorced...and decided to share what that means.

They got married in 1999, officially divorced in 2012, but 'unofficially' divorced in 2009.

They decided that, yes, everyone is unique, but we all share some same experiences...including divorce. So what is Happily Demarried? Nellie and Dan say,

...a place to experience things together. To soften the blows of the mistakes we make. And to find new, more productive ways to get through the hard stuff in pursuit of the beautiful stuff that’s on the other side. Why? Because we owe it to our kids. We owe it to each other. And at the end of the day, we owe it to ourselves.
