This time the price hike includes everybody who steals, has Netflix.

According to the Portland Press Herald, Netflix is raising prices 13 - 18 percent. That's the biggest hike in Netflix's 12 year history.

It's not the only time they've raised prices, but it IS the first time in a while that even if you just have the most basic Netflix, you will go up from $8 a month to $9 a month.

This is their 4th price hike...and the first to hit all 58 million subscribers.

So, why now? Well, somebody has to pay for all those original shows they are cranking out! The Press Herald says that they are feeling a bit bold these days:

The company is now betting it can gradually raise its prices, bolstered by a string of acclaimed hits during that past five years that have included “House of Cards,” “Orange Is The New Black,” “Stranger Things,” “The Crown” and, most recently, the film “Bird Box.”

For 'Bird Box' they should pay me...but I digress.

There's a lot of competition for streaming these days and the field is only going to get more crowded. Will this price hike make you stop? Will you be forced to 'Amazon and chill'?
