Netflix has the rights to make either make a movie or TV series out of the book “One Goal,” about the Lewiston High School boys soccer team.

According to the Sun Journal, the author Amy Bass doesn't know what their plans are for he book, and that a ton of books are optioned - and the chances of it actually being made into a film or TV show is a long shot.

"One Goal: A Coach, a Team, and the Game That Brought a Divided Town Together" is about the mix of Maine and Somali refugee players and how they played together to become champions.
The Sun Journal reports that author Amy Bass said:
I think there’s a great soccer analogy for this: You’ve got to get the ball to the other end of the field and inside the net, and that’s very hard to do. This (the film option) is not what I’ve been focused on. It’s a very important story to tell, maybe now more than ever, so I’m excited when anyone wants to help tell that story.

Oh I hope this does get made into something! It's nice to have such a positive story - and yes...I think right now, there is no better time.
