New Hampshire Man Shows Up at Town Hall to Pay Fine in Pennies
It caused quite a scene, and the police got involved.
Should you be able to pay a fine in pennies? After all, money is money right?
According to the Union Leader, US Marine Veteran Billy Spaulding showed up at the Manchester Town Hall last week with a bucket of pennies, to pay a $75 fine he received for parking in front of a fire hydrant. It caused quite the scene, and a couple of police officers showed up. Spaulding was reportedly escorted out of the building.
In another video posted by Gabriel Olinger, Spaulding showed up again a few days later, and the pennies were accepted as payment.
